Resero is a building services engineering consultancy operating principally within the commercial real estate sector and focused on sustainability. Our clients include some of the UK’s largest property companies and funds.


We specialise in developing and translating sustainability strategy and targets into the engineering requirements, operation and maintenance of individual buildings. We pride ourselves on our innovation, our professionalism and our commitment - to the work and to each other.


We are currently growing our engineering team and are seeking to recruit an ambitious technical services engineer with experience in hard facilities contract or project management. The role would suit someone who enjoys varied and challenging work where no two days are the same. The company has offices in Shrewsbury and Surrey, but we are flexible on where the role is based including home working. However, the successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK and to attend at least monthly team meetings in Shrewsbury.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Services Engineer’s duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Maintenance contract mobilisation.
  • Approving quotes and providing technical advice for remedial works
  • Outlining project specifications.
  • CDM co-ordination.
  • Tender evaluation.
  • Understanding and interpreting customer requirements.
  • Monitoring and auditing the performance of MEP contractors based on SFG20 standards
  • Assisting in the delivery of all aspects of M&E services for both refurbishments and new installation projects. This includes working to a programme, budget and specification to include commissioning and post occupancy evaluation processes.
  • Assisting in developing engineering designs to achieve client aspirations in respect of sustainability and energy management targets

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

The right candidate must have the following essential skills: 

  • We are seeking an individual with an engineering degree or a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience and recognised engineering accreditations.
  • A working knowledge of SFG20.
  • A sound understanding of building services.
  • An understanding of UK construction contracts and processes.
  • An aspiration to deliver engineering excellence across large portfolios for blue-chip clients


DESIRED SKILLS

It would be beneficial, but not essential, for the right candidate to have: 

  • Membership of BIFM, CIBSE or IET
  • Experience of using sector software such as CAFM or energy dashboards
