Resero is a building services engineering consultancy operating principally within the commercial real estate sector and focused on sustainability. Our clients include some of the UK’s largest property companies and funds. 

We specialise in translating sustainability strategies and targets into the engineering requirements, maintenance and operation of individual buildings. We pride ourselves on our innovation, our professionalism and our commitment - to the work and to each other.

We are currently growing our engineering team and are seeking to recruit an ambitious technical services manager with experience in hard facilities contract or project management. The role would suit someone who enjoys varied and challenging work where no two days are the same. The company's head office is in Shrewsbury but we are flexible as to where the role will be based with homeworking considered.  However, the successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK and regular travel to Shrewsbury for team meetings will be expected.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
(Training/support can be provided)

The Technical Services Manager’s duties will include, but are not limited to: 

• Maintenance contract mobilisation
• Remedial works quote approval and technical advice
• Preparation of project specifications with strong input into mechanical services design and installation
• Project management and CDM co-ordination
• Tender evaluation
• Understanding and interpreting customer requirements
• Monitoring and auditing the performance of MEP contractors based on SFG20 standards 
• Assisting in the delivery of all aspects of M&E services refurbishment and new installation projects; working to a programme, budget and specification to include commissioning and post occupancy evaluation processes
• Assisting in developing engineering designs to achieve client aspirations in respect of sustainability and energy management targets

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

The right candidate must have the following essential skills: 

• We are seeking an individual with an engineering degree or a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience and recognised engineering accreditations (such as BIFM, CIBSE LCC/LCEA etc.) 
• A working knowledge of SFG20
• Experience of project management and CDM.
• Experience in M&E maintenance contract mobilisation.
• An understanding of UK construction contracts and processes
• An aspiration to deliver engineering excellence across large portfolios and for high level clients

DESIRED SKILLS

It would be beneficial, but not essential, for the right candidate to have: 

• Membership of BIFM, CIBSE or IET
• A sound understanding of building services 
• Experience of using sector software such as CAFM or energy dashboards
